My friend Lauren emailed to suggest gently that my rich diet might cause me to loose my athletic figure. In fact, she wrote, I could come to look like a "bowling ball" and she enclosed a photo of a tubby tuxedo cat who was rather rotund in the waist.
I have taken Lauren's good advice to heart and posted the photo of the "bowling ball" cat over my food and water dish to motivate me to follow my vet's advice.
I asked my retainer, Bob, to take a pix of my new motivational poster and I have posted it here for all of you to see.
That should work! Thanks Lauren!

Cat Nutrition
I certainly could have eaten more of that pot roast last night, but my retainers, Bob and Ginny, are in cahoots with my vets, Drs. Melin and Schwab. They are constantly concerned that I am overweight. They plot. They even talk about my weight amongst themselves when I go to visit the vets. Whatever happened to confidentiality and patient rights?
Well, I am a big cat. I can, among other things, stand on my hind legs and watch while food is being prepared on the kitchen counter. I am a carnivore with a healthy appetite. Let’s take milk for example. Whole milk is a well-known meat and it is healthy for you. Builds strong cat bones. And it is good too.
Having more experience out in the wild than my vets or my retainers I can tell you what tastes good is also good for you. Consider vanilla ice cream. It is healthy and wild (especially when it comes with whipped cream). Clearly another natural food.
Well, except for an occasional taste on somebody’s birthday, Drs. Melin and Schwab don’t like my retainers to give me any of the good stuff.
But I suppose it is for the best. There is my athletic figure to consider. Once I was up to around 22 pounds and my flat, hard-as-a-rock tummy was a little hard to see.
So, I guess watching what I eat is for the best. A long time ago I lived outside for a while and you sure can keep your weight down when you have to chase after dinner. I was young and fit then. I was also hungry. Hunting is not all that it is cracked up to be. So, I found retainers skilled at hunting. How that happened is for another blog.

Monday
Sun conditions today were less than ideal. Too many clouds. I must speak to someone about that.
My retainers, Bob and Ginny, were making pot roast for dinner, filling the house with wonderful, although distracting, aromas. Why they cooked it all day I do not know, but when dinner finally served, it was delicious.
A tiring day! I will write more tomorrow.
